Environmental Cleaning and Maintenance
Daily Cleaning: Sweep the floor at least once a day, especially under sofas and beds-places dogs love to hide, as dog hair is a perfect breeding ground for dirt and grime!
Choose Disinfecting Products: Don't use random disinfectants! Phenolic and sodium hypochlorite-based disinfectants are not pet-friendly. I recommend benzalkonium chloride and hypochlorous acid-gentle and non-irritating, essential for pet-friendly households!
Clothing & Floors: Keep our clothes and floors clean so our pets don't get dirty. Remember to pat them dry after each outing!
Pet Body Cleaning
Prepare Bathing Supplies: Pet-specific shampoo, conditioner, and a bath brush are all essential! Choose gentle, non-irritating products to protect your pet's delicate skin.
Grooming: Before bathing, brush your pet's fur to detangle any knots. This makes cleaning easier and reduces shedding.
Adjusting Water Temperature: Water temperature is crucial! Too hot water can burn your pet, and too cold water can cause them to catch a cold. I usually test the temperature with my elbow; it's just right when it feels lukewarm. Remember to protect their eyes and ears from water during bath time!
Pet Supplies Disinfection:
Hot Water Soaking: Items like pet toys and food bowls can be soaked in hot water regularly for disinfection and cleaning.
75% Alcohol: Alcohol disinfection is commonly used, but remember to dilute it to 75% before use! Spray directly onto pet supplies, wait a few minutes, and then wipe dry.
Chlorine Dioxide Effervescent Tablets: This is also a disinfection wonder; it's ready to use after dissolving in water, pet-friendly, and has excellent disinfection effects!
