In terms of material, diapers can be divided into cloth diapers and disposable diapers.
Of all baby diapers, cotton diapers have the longest history. The comfort and breathability unique to pure cotton are major advantages of cotton diapers. Cotton diapers are inexpensive and reusable. Cloth diapers have good absorbency and fit, and are less likely to cause skin allergies or diaper rash, but they are inconvenient to wash and carry. Disposable diapers are convenient to carry and do not require washing, but babies with sensitive skin must be changed frequently.
Diapers should be changed frequently, washed and scalded regularly, and sun-dried often. If diapers are not changed promptly, the baby's skin is more susceptible to irritation from urine, feces, and residual detergent, leading to diaper rash and redness. Frequent washing and scalding are obviously beneficial, removing residual urine and feces and disinfecting the diaper. Sun-drying uses ultraviolet rays from sunlight for disinfection, which is much better than air-drying or tumble drying.
